Sandrine Gaillot

Prior to practicing immigration in Montreal, Ms. Gaillot practiced immigration and criminal law in the United States as well as before international courts. Her practice in the U.S. has exposed her to complex, difficult to resolve cases, involving litigation at all levels of state and federal judicial and administrative jurisdictions, from the deep end of Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention centres to the Board of Immigration Appeals. This experience has allowed her to perfect all types of U.S. immigration cases, from temporary worker visas, Green cards, as well as humanitarian and asylum cases.

Prior to that, Ms. Gaillot’s thirteen-year long international practice focused on human and civil rights-related litigation, war crimes prosecution and defense, international treaty implementation, and legislative reform. Throughout her career, Ms. Gaillot advised European and African governments on international standards for the relocation of witnesses of international crimes, which involved advising on eligibility criteria for permanent residence or political asylum, as well as on international standards of detention and prisoners’ rights.

Ms. Gaillot, who graduated magna cum laude with an LL.M. from Notre Dame University School of Law, is also admitted to appear before Federal and State courts in the State of New York, and is perfectly fluent in English and French.
