| Description | Rebecca Cuthbertson Hulst was the 2018-2019 CBA Family Section (North) Chair. She has practiced Family Law since 2003 and Collaborative Family Law since 2010. Her focus is on the children; she is a Registered Collaborative Family Lawyer, a Child-Inclusive Mediator and an Independent Legal Counsel for Children.
On July 1, 2020, Rebecca transitioned her family and mediation practice to Bokenfohr Connolly. Before this, she was part of the Collaborative team at Gunn Law Group and for several years operated her own law firm: Torch Law & Mediation. She has continued to live the Torch motto: “Lighting the pathways to resolution.” Separation and Divorce is stressful and confusing – both for children and adults. Rebecca empowers her clients by helping them understand the law and how it applies to their family. Her goal is for them to feel comfortable, confident, and prepared to reach a fair and amicable settlement outside of Court. If a matter requires Independent Legal Advice for a Separation Agreement, assistance with obtaining a Joint Divorce, or simply a basic explanation of the law as it applies to families in Alberta, Rebecca is happy to meet clients on a limited-scope basis for morning or afternoon consultations. |
I unfortunately had to use the Services of Shannon Gunn Emery for a very complicated case. That being said Mrs. Emery showed me so much compassion and actually felt like she understood and cared about me and my case. She is very knowledgeable and loves what she does her commitment to her profession is very apparent. I have seen her in action in the courtroom and she does not disappoint. My matter was extremely complicated and she took the time to meet with me on many occasions and kept me informed about every decision that was made.
