I worked with Ms Alia Rosenstock J.D. on a family member's immigration project. It is an understatement to say Alia went above and beyond our expectations. You can be the judge yourself. Here is what happened.
We have been working with another immigration lawyer for a year, before she decided to drop the case and refer us to another lawyer. Just short of 2 weeks before a critical hearing. We hectically interviewed a number of lawyers, and Alia stood out in the competition. During the brief initial interactions, she demonstrated her expertise in immigration law, interpersonal skills, and remarkable kindness, which were further evidenced when we entered into a working relationship.
During the 2 weeks, I got to know her a little more. We went through almost every detail about the case, going back 20-30 years in the client's past history. It was a lot of work. Collectively, we spent at least 120 hours during the two weeks, which is definitely not a standard commitment from a lawyer operating on a predetermined fixed fee. I could tell she was concerned and caring at the same time. It's sad to say but you often do not associate these words with legal professionals.
Alia also built a comprehensive case backed with relevant laws and precedents. I could not assess how much work went into those preparing those documents, but they were pensive and meticulously put together.
Needless to say, we picked a winner.
