J. Wesley Jamieson

Wesley has a strong background in economics from his undergraduate and graduate studies at McGill University and at HTW University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany, respectively.  He also was part of the Board of QPIRG (social policy research) in Montreal, QC and was a researcher at the McGill Centre for International Sustainable Development before studying law.

He obtained his law degree from Ludlow Hall – the Faculty of Law at the University of New Brunswick – during which time Wesley worked at the Family Law Legal Information Clinic and the Fredericton Legal Advice Clinic, to help improve New Brunswickers’ access to justice.

In 2010, he joined a boutique law firm specializing in municipal and environmental law in Toronto, ON before articling with Ross & McBride LLP in his hometown of Hamilton.

Wesley advocates for clients with diplomacy, strongly and strategically, and is passionate about finding innovative legal solutions for clients facing fundamental changes in their lives, groups, or organizations.  Wesley has represented clients in mediation as well as arbitrations and has appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in regions across Southern Ontario. He also accepts legal aid certificates in certain circumstances.

A proud resident of Hamilton, Wesley is committed to serving the community through his local riding association, and a variety of community projects.
