He just completed the Coroners Review on Cycling Deaths in Ontario where he initiated the review, served on the Expert Panel and was recently interviewed on Canada AM regarding the recommendations. In October Patrick was awarded with fellow lawyer Albert Koehl the 2012 Active Transportation Champion of the Year by TCAT. Patrick was selected by his peers to Best Lawyers in Canada, he is certified by the LSUC as a specialist in Civil Litigation and was recently awarded the Ontario Trial Lawyers Distinguished Service Award. When not working, Patrick spends his time with his wife and two children, cycling and playing hockey. I hope no one has to live with a love one suffering a catastrophic brain injury. It hurts so much to watch your child struggle and lose their dreams. It is also devastating to every family members' lives. My family's one guiding light was having Patrick Brown and his team support us. When I picked Patrick to represent our family, it was based on interviewing many lawyers. I found him to have the kindest and most authentic demeanour. Afterwards, an OT at the Sunnybrook Hospital told me that I had made a great choice and that Patrick is a decent man. The road to recovery was very difficult but over the years I'd call Patrick our angel. He and his team were always there with compassion and to get help for my child and family.
