| Description | I practice exclusively in the areas of immigration, citizenship, and refugee law. This has been my focus since I was in law school, where I was actively involved in the immigration section of the University of Toronto’s clinic, Downtown Legal Services. I was first called to the Bar in 2009 in Ontario, and have been a member of the Bar in British Columbia since 2016.
As an immigration lawyer, with a focus on litigation, I appear before the Federal Courts, the Immigration Division, the Immigration Appeal Division, the Refugee Protection Division, and at citizenship hearings. Many of my clients are those whose applications have been refused because they have been found not to be eligible in a particular category, or who are alleged or who have been found to be inadmissible to Canada (for criminality, security, medical reasons, residency, or misrepresentation). Along with a litigation practice, I also work with clients to make applications to enter or remain in Canada. |
