Earlier this year we purchased several pieces of new furniture from Wilsons. These included a sofa and loveseat, two arm chairs and a full dining room suite. The staff were very friendly and the shopping experience was most enjoyable. Unfortunately, not everything was explained clearly to us by the salesperson. The two arm chairs had an option for rechargeable battery packs, as well as wall plugs. As our new layout involved floating the furniture away from the wall, we were intrigued by the battery option. The fact that these battery packs were an upgrade, and an expensive one at that, was not explained to us. We ordered the chairs on the assumption, based on our conversation in store, that the packs were included in the cost. When they arrived without them, we were shocked at the additional cost to purchase them (which we had to do, given our great room configuration).
On a different note, I would like to thank Nancy in customer service for her tireless work on our behalf to find a solution for one of the chairs, which arrived with a crooked back. After trying a number of options, she contacted a repairman in our area (out of town), who came out to our home and resolved the issue in an hour, with no service charge. Her acknowledgement of our problem, and willingness to go the extra mile was most appreciated.
Overall, I am pleased with our experience at Wilsons. My one caution would be to ask a lot of questions to clarify what is and is not included in the purchase price, so that you can make an informed decision.
