| Description | After clerking with the prestigious Appeal Court of Ontario, Daniel Wilband has focused on employment and labour law. He has worked closely with unions assisting with collective agreement matters, constitutional law and complex employment issues. He now assists non-unionized employees with severance and employment termination issues. He has taught labour law at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law. Daniel is a Maritimer and grew up near Saint John, New Brunswick. He is fluently bilingual, and his wife Michelle is an Acadian from the same area. Daniel attended McGill University’s Faculty of Law graduating on the Dean’s Honour List in 2015. |
I had a good experience with Teryl Scott through my mediation. Lisa did a great job of informing of the process of mediation across distant (Ontario & Nova Scotia) provinces. My file was quite complex given my financial situation; however, I thought Lisa did a good job of managing expectations throughout the process.
In hindsight, I would recommend we add additional mediation time for more complex situations (like mine), though, I recognize my situation was unique which created a bit of unnecessary rushing at the end. I'd highly recommend this firm and Lisa for any mediation! I would have liked to have more time to find a mutual solution.. but overall, I can move forward and "sleep at night" with this arrangement :)

Lisa Teryl’s guidance with a Small Claims case, that wasn’t actually so small, proved to be on point and indispensable in developing a winning strategy. Her analytical skills and judgement, combined with her creative problem solving, allowed for possible solutions not readily apparent to someone without the knowledge and experience she has. It was certainly worth having Lisa on my side.
