| Description | Chen Shen completed his Bachelors degree at Simon Fraser University, and obtained his law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2014. At the University of British Columbia, he participated in various moot and legal clinic programs, and was awarded the Singleton Urquhart Prize in Torts and the Kenneth G. Young, QC Scholarship in Law. Chen has gained summer experiences in criminal law as well as public interest law in technology and privacy, and he was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2015 after articling with criminal defence lawyers.
Prior to joining Henderson Lee, Chen practiced at a full service law firm in downtown Vancouver where he gained experience in corporate and commercial litigation, immigration law, tenancy matters and advising clients in prospective risk management. Chen currently practices in general litigation. He advises and represents clients in matters ranging from contract or corporate disputes, torts, administrative tribunals, immigration matters and criminal defence. Chen has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia, the Federal Court, and various administrative tribunals including the Immigration and Refugee Board. Chen also has experience advising clients in international, multi-jurisdictional, multi-party disputes. Chen approaches each case with a view to the client’s goals and strives to achieve the desired result in the most effective manner. |
