| Description | I am a founding partner of Goddard Nasseri LLP, where I maintain a broad civil litigation practice that includes appeals, corporate and commercial cases, and tort actions. My practice also includes advising and acting for professionals in administrative and disciplinary proceedings as well as in civil actions. I have appeared before all levels of court in Ontario and have appeared as counsel in several mediations, arbitrations, motions, applications, appeals, and trials. Before starting a firm with my colleague, Owen Goddard, I had the privilege to learn from several excellent litigators at Pape Barristers (Oct ’15-June’18) and McCarthy Tetrault’s Toronto office (September ’12-Oct’15).
I was raised in Edmonton, Alberta, where I attended the University of Alberta and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science. I moved to Ontario to attend the University of Toronto for law school six years ago, and have thoroughly enjoyed living in Toronto since then. In my spare time, I enjoy writing about the law, cooking, and following NHL hockey. I have also had the opportunity to contribute to continuing legal education and scholarship in our profession by publishing extensively and presenting at conferences, including at several OBA events. My publications include academic and practical articles on topics such as communicating with experts, defending concurrent civil and regulatory proceedings, and judicial review. I look forward to using my membership in the OBA’s civil litigation section to enhance the resources and opportunities for legal education and advocacy in Ontario.

At this stage of the proceedings we have only had an initial consultation with Owen and his partner Janani . But it was a lengthy meeting and we were extremely impressed by their knowledge and depth of experience and their ability to answer all our questions and address all our concerns.
