Andrea F. Baldwin

Prior to joining EY Law, Andrea was a partner at a leading regional law firm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she established and led the Business Immigration practice. Andrea has served as immigration counsel to regional, national and multi-national clients in various industries and sectors, including transportation, oil and gas, natural resources, IT, manufacturing, post-secondary education, heavy civil construction, and seafood harvesting and processing.

Andrea has been recognized by the International Who’s Who Legal since 2014 as one of the leading corporate immigration lawyers in Canada, and she has been named among the Best Lawyers: Immigration Law since 2016. In 2017, Andrea was identified in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a Leading Practitioner in Immigration Law. Andrea is frequently called upon as a speaker on topics related to Canadian immigration. She has a long history of service with the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). Andrea is past chair of the Immigration Section and of the Women Lawyers’ Forum of the Nova Scotia Branch of the CBA.

Andrea was called to the Bar in Nova Scotia in 2003 after clerking at the Federal Court of Appeal for Justices Julius Isaac and Allen Linden. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University.
